Sail the scenic waterway on a 90-minute, guided tour from downtown to Waugh Drive Bridge and back to watch the emergence of the 250,000+ Mexican free-tailed bats that live under the bridge.
The knowledgeable guide will share details about the bats’ eating patterns, behavior and contributions to the bayou’s ecosystem. Space is limited, and boat tours fill up fast. Boat departs 45 minutes before sunset.

Departure location: 1019 Commerce Street, Houston, TX 77002 (at Main Street), go down the cascading stairs (on your left of the 3-story brown brick building). The pontoon boat will be docked at the wharf.

What to Know
All boat tours are subject to cancellation due to weather and water conditions.
Take care of any “pit stops” before the tour, as the restroom on the boat is for emergencies only.
There are 52 steps from the street level down to Allen's Landing.
What to Bring
Dress in weather-appropriate clothing – the temperature is about 5 degrees cooler on the water.
