About this event

Connor Hagen, Public Affairs Officer, FBI Houston

Topic: Community Awareness—Frauds and Scams

Since 2018, Connor Hagan has served as an FBI Public Affairs Officer (PAO) providing media support during critical incidents, answering daily press inquiries related to federal investigations, and highlighting significant FBI cases for public attention. He maintains an active FBI social media presence and enjoys working with numerous media, law enforcement, and community leaders throughout Texas.

Connor Hagan joined the FBI in July 2015 as a member of FBI Milwaukee’s Special Surveillance Group where he conducted covert surveillance of foreign spies and suspected terrorists related to national security investigations. Within a few years, he shifted into a support role where he provided administrative assistance to the counterterrorism, counterintelligence, human intelligence, and violent crime squads. In January 2018, he transferred to the Houston Field Office in his first posting as an FBI PAO. After two years in Texas, Connor transferred to Little Rock as the sole FBI PAO for the entire state of Arkansas. While in this position, Connor was selected for the FBI’s elite Media Fly Team (MFT), where he was deployed to numerous critical incidents and mass casualty events around the nation during his two-year assignment.

After three years in Arkansas, Connor is back in Houston alongside his fiancée and large extended family. Before joining the FBI, Connor studied organized crime and national security while earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).
